Born and raised at Sun Moon Lake, I grew up surrounded by the lake's breathtaking beauty and rich indigenous culture. This is my home, and I'm passionate about sharing it with travelers from around the world.
Growing up by the lake, I spent my childhood cycling along the shoreline, hiking the mountain trails, and learning the stories of the Thao people. I know every hidden viewpoint, every secret path, and the best local spots that no guidebook will tell you about.
As your guide, I bring that deep local connection to every tour. Whether we're watching sunrise over the misty lake, paddling across crystal-clear waters, or tasting authentic aboriginal cuisine at Ita Thao village, I'll make sure your Sun Moon Lake experience is personal, authentic, and unforgettable.

Sun Moon Lake is beautiful year-round! The best weather is from October to April (dry season). September hosts the famous annual swimming carnival. Spring (March-May) brings cherry blossoms. Summer is warm but can have afternoon showers. Each season offers a unique experience.
A full day trip allows you to see the highlights. However, staying 2 days/1 night is ideal to enjoy sunrise, sunset, cycling, and water activities at a relaxed pace. For a multi-day adventure combining Sun Moon Lake with Qingjing Farm or Alishan, plan 3-4 days.
Yes! With a private car, a day trip from Taipei is very doable (about 3 hours each way). You'll have 4-5 hours at the lake. Taking the HSR to Taichung first reduces travel time. Leo's guided day tours include hotel pickup in Taipei or Taichung.
Absolutely! Sun Moon Lake is very family-friendly. The cycling trail is flat and well-paved, the boat ride is enjoyable for all ages, and the aboriginal village is fascinating for children. Tours are customized to your family's pace and needs. Child seats available upon request.

Most activities are suitable for all fitness levels. The cycling path is flat with e-bike options. Easy trails like Hanbi Trail are paved and gentle. Kayaking and SUP require no experience. Only the Shuishe Mountain summit hike requires moderate fitness. Leo will customize activities to your comfort level.
